Mild-mannered Darren Silverman (Biggs) is way under the sway of his demanding new girlfriend (Peet), so his best buddies (Black and Zahn) leap into action. They hatch a plan to reunite Silverman with an old flame (Detmer)—and then kidnap the current one. With such a high concept, such a lowball director (Dugan, of Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy fame), and such a castful of scene-stealers (including, incidentally, Neil “The Jazz Singer” Diamond in a cameo), Silverman may just be too bloated to save itself.
