The Eagles will kick off their European tour on May 29th in Moscow. They've agreed to open up a new arena in Dallas on July 28th. After that, they will head back into the studio to start work on a new CD. A full-fledged American tour is scheduled to take place next year. By the way, the Eagles officially became the third highest selling artist in U.S. history last week, trailing only the Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

The Australian invasion continues. Not only do we get AC/DC in two weeks, but INXS, Midnight Oil and Men At Work will be embarking on a U.S. tour at the end of May. Look for them in June in L.A...

ELO with Jeff Lynne will be releasing a new album on June 12th called Zoom. Ringo Starr and George Harrison make guest appearances on it.

TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2001

Journey's new CD Arrival is in stores today. They will be talking about the CD and their tour plans with Mark & Brian Thursday morning.

Stevie Nicks will be releasing a new CD on May 1st. She will kick off a U.S. tour on June 29th.

Deep Purple will be doing a summer tour with Ted Nugent. Look for them in Southern California at the end of June. Guitar wizard Steve Morse of the Dixie Dregs has replaced Richie Blackmore; the rest of the Deep Purple line-up consists of Jon Lord, Ian Gillen, Roger Glover, and Ian Paice.

Rod Stewart teamed up with his old buddy Ronnie Wood last week to write and record a new tune. No word as to when or if it will be released. Rod will kick off a U.S. tour soon. Look for him in Southern California in June.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2001

Bruce Springsteen signed autographs for fans yesterday at a store in Red Bank, New Jersey as he celebrated the release of his new album Live In New York City. He's hinting at a new studio album with the E Street Band and another solo acoustic release. And...don't forget Bruce and the E Street Band on HBO Saturday night.

Former Queensryche guitarist Chris De Garno has teamed up with Sean Kinney and Mike Inez of Alice In Chains as well as Sponge vocalist Vinnie Dombroski in a new side project called Spys 4 Darwin. They will release an EP online in May called Microfish.

R.E.M.'s film, A Stirling Performance, based on their three night stand at Sterling, Scotland in 1999 will make its film debut in June at the annual Atlanta Film Festival. Their new album, Reveal, will be in stores on May 15th.
