RealPlayer
To listen to RealAudio or view RealVideo, you'll need the latest version of the RealPlayer. With the RealPlayer you'll have access to hundreds of hours of ESPN audio and video. The latest Real Player can be downloaded free from Real.com:


Windows Media Player
The Windows Media Player allows you to play Windows Media, .avi video, and .wav sound files. These formats are used for much of ESPN's audio and video programming. The latest Windows Media Player can be downloaded free from Microsoft.com:


QuickTime
Apple offers the movie (.mov) viewer QuickTime which is needed to view movies in the .mov format. We recommend downloading this free from Apple:

You'll also need ShockWave to run certain features on ESPN.com. We recommend downloading this free from MacroMedia:

Here is an easy way to change your start-up page directly in your browser. Just choose your browser below and follow the appropriate instructions that only take about 30 seconds to complete:

Internet Explorer (4.0 example) Netscape (4.0 example)
1. Select "View" and "Internet Options" from the toolbar at the top of the screen.
2. Click on the tab labeled "General".
3. Paste or type http://espn.com/ into the "Address" field under "Home Page" and Click "OK."
