| Brian Engblom serves as the ice-level reporter for ESPN's National Hockey Night telecasts (since 1995). He continues to provide analysis on ESPN2 NHL telecasts, a job he has held since joining the network in September 1993.
In an 11-year NHL career as a defenseman, Engblom played for Montreal (1976-82), Washington (1982-83), Los Angeles (1983-86), Buffalo (1986), and Calgary (1986-87). He won three Stanley Cups with Montreal; was an NHL second team All-Star in 1981 and '82; played for Canada in the 1981 Canada Cup; and was a member of Team Canada in the 1983 World Championship tournament. Engblom retired in 1987 after sustaining a serious neck injury.
He previously worked as a color analyst for the Los Angeles Kings on XTRA-AM in Los Angeles (1991-95). He continues to serve as the assistant director of the Kings' hockey camp.
Engblom, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, was born January 27, 1955.
