  Faulk
Two weeks ago, the Rams came out and threw 14 consecutive passes to open the game. On Sunday against the Falcons, they reminded the NFL that part of what makes this team so deadly is their multi-dimensional offense. Running back Marshall Faulk set career highs with 208 yards rushing and 286 yards from scrimmage, as the Rams routed Atlanta, 45-29. Faulk has 1,083 yards from scrimmage this year, an unbelievable average of 180 per game. He's on pace to shatter his own record for total yards in a season – 2,429 last year. He's on pace to finish with 2,888.

Running back Marshall Faulk ran for over 200 yards and had nearly 300 total yards from scrimmage. Not surprisingly, he is one of the six players nominated for the ESPN Week 7 Prime Time Player.

  • Mortensen: Faulk or Warner?
    Monday, October 16
I can't wait for this argument again – who is the Rams' MVP, Kurt Warner or Marshall Faulk? Sunday, it was Faulk with 208 yards rushing. I thought the Falcons again made a fair accounting, but their defense had trouble getting off the field. I'm not going to say much more about the Rams … (yawn) … they're starting to bore me. But they did justify my theory that the game would do just fine without kickers.

Are Warner & Co. really that great?
ESPN.com takes a look at the St. Louis Rams' record-setting offense.

QB Kurt Warner threw for over 300 yards and RB Marshall Faulk ran for over 200 yards on Sunday against Atlanta. That's the first time in NFL history that a team has had a 300-yard passer and a 200-yard rusher in the same game.
