James' 219 yards helps Colts outrun Seahawks

Colts regain their edge
 Edgerrin James
James is on pace for over 1,700 rushing yards.
Running back Edgerrin James came into Sunday having failed to rush for 100 yards in a game since Week 1 against the Chiefs. He made up for it by rushing for 100 yards, twice. His 219 yards is the most this season in the NFL, and the most in the NFL since Priest Holmes ran for 227 in November of 1998 against the Bengals. "There's no reason we can't do this every Sunday," James told The Indianapolis Star after the Colts 37-24 victory.

Running back Edgerrin James broke out of a mini-slump in a major way, running for 219 yards, the NFL-high this season. He also scored three touchdowns. James is one of six players nominated for ESPN's Week 7 Prime Time Player.

  • Donahoe: Colts continue road dominance
    Tuesday, October 17
The Colts finished a three-game road trip with another victory. Over the last two seasons, the Colts have been one of the best road teams in the NFL, with a 9-2 record in their last 11 road games. The Colts have been struggling running the football, but they may have found a solution to their problem in Seattle's run defense. Edgerrin James had a breakout game (219 yards rushing) in an overall outstanding performance. QB Peyton Manning was also sharp.
