Facts | Schedule | Drivers | Results | Standings | News

The Series:

As the only dirt track series in the NASCAR Touring Division, the O'Reilly Auto Parts All-Star Series was born in 1985. The series features a prestigious schedule of races that are contested on tracks throughout the Midwestern United States. In the last 15 years, the O'Reilly Auto Parts All-Star Series has become a family competition with brothers Joe and Steve Kosiski of Omaha, Neb., capturing the championship a total of 12 times between them. With such nail biting and edge-of-your-seat excitement, the Busch All-Star Series has developed into one of the premier dirt track touring series throughout the country. In 1999 Ray Guss Jr. of Milan, Ill., captured the crown on the last night of racing from a persistent Joe Kosiski.

The cars use a standard small block-type engine
averaging 358 cubic inches, but there is no
specific compression rule.

The Cars:

The cars that compete in the O'Reilly Auto Parts All-Star Series are Late Model stock cars that differ greatly from some of their asphalt counterparts. The cars use a standard small block-type engine averaging 358 cubic inches, but there is no specific compression rule, unlike the NASCAR Winston Cup Series machines that are limited to a 12:1 compression ratio. The O'Reilly Auto Parts All-Star Series requires the use of two-door sedan aftermarket bodies that resemble late model cars from 1990-99. Cars must have a wheelbase of 103 inches and weigh between 2,400 to 2,650 pounds.
