CARTOON CARTOON SUMMER
All Summer Long

Cartoon Network will premiere 11 original series pilots, along with 13 new episodes of current original series during its second annual CARTOON CARTOON SUMMER, June 5-Aug. 27. The season-long programming celebration will feature two hours of original series Monday-Thursday, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. (e/p), and three-and-a-half hours of originals every Friday night, from 7:30-11 p.m. In addition to featuring new episodes of Cartoon Network's original series - Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, Courage The Cowardly Dog and Johnny Bravo - the network will introduce a brand new series pilot during the "Cartoon Cartoon Show" each Friday at 9 p.m.

Gay Purr-ee (TV-G)
An all-star cast of voice talent that includes Judy Garland, Robert Goulet, Red Buttons and Mel Blanc brings this 1962 UPA theatrical production to life. Gay Purr-ee tells the story of Mewsette, a naive country girl cat who becomes tired of unsophisticated rural cats and leaves the farm to explore new adventures in Paris. Her boyfriend Jaune Tom and his little friend Robespierre follow her, ultimately trying to rescue her from marrying the suave city cat Meowrice.

This 1991 Universal Pictures release continues the story of Fievel and the Mousekewitz family as they search for their fortune in America. Fievel's dream to become a tough lawman might come true when he and his family move from the streets of New York to the wide-open West, where they embark on a new set of challenges and adventures.

Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie (TV-G)
In this 1979 Warner Bros. feature, Bugs Bunny gives the viewers a tour of his mansion, reminisces about his career and discusses the origin of humor and the art of the chase. In addition to five complete cartoons ("Hareway to the Stars", "What's Opera, Doc?", "Duck Amuck", "Bully For Bugs", "Rabbit Fire"), excerpts from eight more are shown, along with an 11-minute Road Runner compilation consisting of 31 gags culled from 16 cartoons.

Animaniacs Movie: Wakko's Wacko Wish (TV-G)
As soon as evil King Salazar the Pushy of Ticktocia takes over the cheerful town of Acme Falls, he and his tax collector pretty much ruin everything for everybody. It's a cold, bleak winter as the town waits with no heat, little food and a closed orphanage. Still, the Animaniacs pull together, knowing that they should never give up hope.
