TOP SECRETWe've just returned from Area 51 and have we got some photos for you. No, not some silly alien autopsy video. Anyone can get those. We've gotten our hands on the Men In Black figures. Take a look at what will soon hit toy shelves near you. The 5" action figures in the Men In Black line are fairly evenly distributed in the case: three Slime-Fightin' Kays, Flame-Blastin' Jays; two Alien Attack Edgars, Street-Striker Kays and Alien-Ambush Jays.
There are three different deluxe figures with the Jeebs figure packing in at only one per case. Three Mikeys and two Jays round out the case assortment. Not pictured Ultra Alien. The vehicle being released with this line is the Zap-Em Van. A van somewhat reminiscent of the old Scooby Doo Mystery Machine if a UFO blew a hole in its side. The box describes the van's prominent action feature thusly: "Spaceship slams Edgar through windshield." How do you go wrong with that?
Star Wars ExclusiveIn conjunction with several toy retailers, Hasbro is offering several Star Wars exclusives this summer. The Death Star Escape Three Pack with Chewbacca, Han Solo and Luke will be a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. These are new sculpts of the 4" figures. Chewbacca is featured in shackles. It is set for a June or July release.Toys 'R' Us is also slated to receive another exclusive, a 12" Han Solo with Tauntaun. Han is sporting a fur-lined, hooded parka in this design. Scheduled for a September shipping. Target jumps into the Star Wars exclusives fray with a 12" Luke and Wompa Gift Set. This is also slated for a September release. In more Star Wars related news, Hasbro is scheduled to offer the internet exclusive B'omarr Monk in August. Check out the Hasbro site for the order form later in the summer. For those of you that want a reminder of what B'omarr looks like, watch for him at the entrance of Jabba the Hutt's palace in Return of the Jedi. During an on-line conversation at the Hasbro site, one of the figure creators dropped hints that a Darth Vader with a removable helmet may be in the works. It's still in the planning stages, but we'll let you know more when we hear it.
